Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), formerly known as the University of Pune (UniPune), is a leading higher education institution in India. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC, the university is often referred to as the “Oxford of the East.” In the NIRF 2023 rankings, SPPU secured the 19th position among the top universities in the country.
The university boasts a vast academic network, with over 700 affiliated colleges, 46 academic departments, and 52 research centers. SPPU offers a diverse range of programs, including undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), PhD, PG diploma, diploma, and certificate courses across disciplines such as Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, and Management.
Admissions to UG and PG programs are based on either merit or entrance examinations. SPPU accepts scores from various national-level entrance tests, including MHT CET, GATE, CAT, MAT, ATMA, and XAT. Additionally, the university conducts its own entrance exams for several courses. To further expand access to education, SPPU also offers a variety of UG and PG programs through its distance education mode.

SPPU Application Process

- Choose your desired course and register yourself.

SPPU Result
SPPU follows the semester system for all of its courses namely, Odd and Even semester. Odd semester examinations are generally conducted in December/January and Even semester examinations in the months of May/ June. Results for the same are usually declared within one month after completion of exams. SPPU Results can be checked and downloaded by visiting the official website of the university.
